Feedback

First off- can I get a TGIF?!  Yay for Fridays! :)  That's all- back to business:

One of the things I love (so far) about Etsy is the Feedback section.  Research shows that we will most likely only receive feedback from 15-35% of our buyers, but each time we see our Feedback number go up it feels like Christmas all over again!

One of our main goals is to be very flexible and willing to customize any product so that our buyer receives their perfect LittleStitch treasure.  So when we receive Feedback like the comment below, we be grinnin'! :)

Commenter purchased this Wilbur eBook Cover

"I actually own a Kobo e-reader, rather than a Kindle or Nook, but the Little Stitch folks were very obligingly willing to make a special order to fit my funky off-brand gadget. Only three days after my purchase, I got an email saying that the item had already been shipped! Whoa! And somewhere in between there, somebody had to sew the thing especially to order! And it's perfect and beautiful and sturdy. So I love this seller. You will love them, too!"

Thank you, Kimberly, for being a great buyer (and for your hilarious email)!

Have a great weekend everyone!  See you back here next week- we'll be sharing some new listings!

Recap: 1st Month

We had our very first sale in the LittleStitch Shop on December 4th, just over a month ago (thanks, Aunt Carole!), and we wrote about that official first sale here.  In our first month, we processed 34 orders (totaling 39 items)!!!  What in the world?!  Yes, we are excited beyond measure!

This first month has definitely been a learning process.  We've learned that JoAnn's discontinues fabrics pretty frequently.  We've learned to wait until an order for 4 of The Ramsey Poufs is purchased before driving 2 hours on a weeknight to pick up 8 yards of the aforementioned discontinued fabric.  (But it was so worth it to snuggle on my sister & sweet niece!)  We've learned that some USPS customer service representatives consider Delivery Confirmation tracking to be "courtesy" and not a "necessity" (their words, for real).  Morgan has learned a heck of a lot about the State of Georgia's policies and regulations for small businesses and taxes (she's got the brains, y'all).  And I have learned that trying stitch up handmade Christmas gifts for 2 families while keeping up with Etsy orders was not my brightest moment.

We've also learned that friends and family are the best support ever.  We've learned that the handmade marketplace is a truly wonderful world.  We've learned that our customers are some pretty amazing and hilarious people.  We've learned that shipping our LittleStitch treasures across the nation ignites some very big dreams for us!

The ideas are steadily rolling in and we can't wait to add more to the shop!  Morgan was a busy LittleStitcher earlier this week and got some new Wilbur eBook Covers prepped for the shop- they should be listed very soon.  We're hoping to get more samples of The Maddie Make-Up Pouch listed, and add a few new products as well!

Thank you all so very much for your support- you are helping us live our dream!

Making Room for LittleStitch

We are so incredibly thankful for the steady number of orders that have been coming in since the day after Christmas.  It is unreal to think that our LittleStitch treasures are finding their way around the nation- we are over the moon excited!

As you saw just before Christmas, my LittleStitch workspace had taken over our dining room.

This set-up was not working for me: fabric on the floor, tabletop covered with accessories, patterns, fabric, etc.  It was a disaster of epic proportions.  And it did not get cleaned up before we headed to North GA for our family Christmas vacation.  When we got home on Friday, I was so overwhelmed.  And I knew with all of the orders coming in, I had to make this space work for me.

It's just my husband, our 2 dogs and cat, and me at home.  We very rarely ever use our dining room.  Only when we have more than 2 people over- which probably happens maybe 5 times a year.  Even when our families visit, for many meals we cram ourselves in at the kitchen table and bar.  So after clearing it with my hubster, I set out to turn the dining room into my LittleStitch workspace.

Holy bobbins, I am so in love with my new space!  Patterns hung on the wall!  Fabric organized and stored in baskets on the hutch!  A desk space!  Dining table turned sewing table covered with mats (thank you, Santa Lalla and Jake & Allie)!  There's even a shelf next to my desk that holds all of the interfacing and sewing accessories!  And the best part is- for those 5 times a year that we actually sit and eat in this room, we can easily clear away the mats and my sewing machine.

And there's one little fluffer-nuffer who might like my space even more than I do...

Yes, Kitty Bug is reliving our high school days when she'd keep my lap warm at this very same desk while I did homework.  (She was a little rascal of a kitten back then.)  She's loving it, as am I. :)

I'm sure this is the first of many changes LittleStitch will make to our home.  I'm so thankful!

Take care,

Post-Christmas Craze!

Morgan and I are both on vacation this week- and perfect timing, too.  We are so thankful to have received many post-Christmas orders!  It seems like Santa delivered a lot of Kindles and Nooks to all of the good girls. :)

Thank you for understanding that we've been in and out this week as we enjoy some time with our families.  But no worries- we've been making time to stitch up your treasures and they will be in your hands soon!

I have taken over my in-law's dining room!

Enjoy your New Year's, and we'll be back to the daily grind next week!
Take care,
